Deceptive Designer

I applied the research through design process to conceptualize, prototype, and program a point and click game.
From beginning to end, all solo.
The game itself is about the ways that design can be made to manipulate users through dark patterns.

Concept generation through notebook sketching.

“Wizard of Oz” style testing used to experiment with interaction methods (N=5).

Game flow prototyped using user testing (N=5).  Placeholder assets used for this stage.
Final Version
Modifications made based on feedback. All final assets conceptualized in Figma and created in Illustrator.


Bonus: a fun little programming test I did for an unused HTML version of the game.
